Is Cheddar cheese low FODMAP?

Low FODMAP

Serving guidance

Low-FODMAP — hard, aged cheeses contain very little lactose.

Why

Cheddar and most hard, aged cheeses (parmesan, swiss, brie, feta in small amounts) are low-FODMAP because the aging process removes nearly all the lactose. Soft, fresh cheeses like ricotta and cottage cheese are higher.
